Three people injured following two-car crash on north side

INDIANAPOLIS — A 61-year-old man is in critical condition following a two-car crash Monday on the north side of Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, one car was driving north on Meridian Street near W. 64th Street just after 6 p.m. while another was driving south. One car crossed into the path of the other, and both cars were forced off the road and into a ditch with one car on top of the second vehicle.

The man and an 11-year-old girl were trapped in the bottom car and had to be removed. The man was transported to Methodist Hospital, while the girl was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in stable condition. A 31-year-old woman in the other car is at Methodist in stable condition.
