INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was killed in a crash on the city's southeast side.

Police were called to the 9100 block of Maze Road around 2 a.m. after they say a driver lost control and hit a telephone pole.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Several homes were without power overnight because of the crash.

Police are working to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash because they say they found several containers in the vehicle.
