INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed in a single car crash that shut down I-65 southbound lanes for hours.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. near the south split.
A preliminary investigation has determined that Jeremy Dreher, 37, of Indianapolis was driving on I-70 at the I-65 south split, missed a turn, drove off the interstate, became airborne and hit a guard rail.
He was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evidence at the scene indicated alcohol could be a factor in the crash, according to a press release from the Indiana State Police.
