COLUMBUS — One man was killed and another was seriously injured a head-on crash in Columbus Thursday evening.
Columbus Police Department officers were called to the scene of the crash on State Road 46 near Goeller Boulevard around 8 pm.
Investigators say a 2005 Chevy Tahoe was traveling west on SR 46 when the 34-year-old driver crossed the center curbed median and struck a 2008 Honda Civic head-on.
The driver of the Civic, identified as Richard Walters, 58, was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Tahoe driver was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital to be treated for head injury, his condition is not known at this time.
The crash remains under invesitgation by the Columbus Police Department and toxicology results are pending.
