SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- A man was hospitalized after he was shot Thursday morning during a robbery in Speedway.
Police say the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. in the Coppertree Apartment complex in the 2300 block of Fair Oaks Drive.
When police arrived to the scene, they found a 49-year-old man who had been shot once in the leg. The victim told police he had been robbed and shot outside his apartment by an unidentified suspect.
The victim was taken to an emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.
