INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was struck and critically injured Wednesday evening while attempting to cross 10th Street on the far west side.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of 10th Street and Raceway Road, close to the Marion-Hendricks county line.
Indianapolis police said the victim was attempting to cross 10th Street after his car had left the roadway and entered a ditch for unknown reasons.
He was struck by a westbound vehicle. The driver was not suspected of being intoxicated and was cooperating with investigators.
The victim was reportedly in "very critical" condition.
No other details were immediately available.
