FRANKFORT — A man has died after being struck by a vehicle on a busy Clinton County road.
The Frankfort Police Department said crews were called to the scene in the 1900 block of State Road 28 around 5:30 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Investigators believe the man was trying to cross traffic when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. It is unclear why the man was walking in the area at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Frankfort Police Department.
