INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man who pleaded guilty to 14 charges in February will serve more than 100 years in prison.

Michael Deweese, 20, was sentenced Tuesday afternoon to 109-and-a-half years in Monroe County and will spend all the time at the Department of Corrections.

He was arrested in Nov. 2014 after Bloomington police officers responded to a call from a woman, 22, who said her roommate was screaming and she thought she was being raped.

Investigators later were told that two women, both 24, were sexually assaulted by two men who were armed with handguns.

The victims said the men entered their home and confined them to their bedrooms before sexually assaulting them.

When police arrived at the house, the front door was open, and the officer saw a man standing inside a doorway in the house.

Police said the officer identified himself as being with police, then two shots were fired at the officer.

Deweese admitted to raping or helping rape two of the women at gunpoint, stealing their computer and cell phone before Deweese's accomplice, Vaylen Glazebrook, shot at the officer.

Glazebrook has yet to be convicted or plead guilty.
