HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. -- Police in Indiana have invited the public to line the procession to show respect for Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz, who died Sunday after being shot while serving a warrant.
The procession will begin at about 2 p.m. It will travel on the following route from the Marion County Coroner's Office in downtown Indianapolis to Shirley and Stout Funeral Home in Kokomo:

- South on West Street to I-70 westbound
- I-70 to I-465 northbound
- I-465 to I-465 eastbound
- I-465 to US 31 northbound
- US 31 to State Road 931
- SR 931 to westbound State Road 26 (CR 400 S.)
- SR 26 to northbound Dixon Road (CR 200 W.)
- Dixon Road to eastbound Lincoln Road
- Lincoln Road to Shirley and Stout Funeral Home
