MARION COUNTY, Ind. -- A Marion County sheriff's deputy has been disciplined after his K-9 bit another deputy.
According to a June 15 letter from Sheriff John Layton, the agency conducted an internal investigation into Deputy Anthony Stitt.
The investigation found Stiff violated the department's rules and regulations.
He was in training for the K-9 program at the time of the incident.
"Due to the seriousness of this violation; effective immediately, you will no longer be considered for the K9 Unit. Your name has been withdrawn from the eligibility list for this position," the letter stated.
The deputy bit by the K-9 is now in good condition.
