LAWRENCE, Ind. -- Two people killed in an early morning crash involving a suspected drunk driver have been identified.
Police say just after 3 a.m. Sunday a car driving eastbound on 46th Street crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a car traveling the opposite direction.
The drivers of both cars were pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner has identified those drivers as Jimmy Brown, Jr. 40, and Blair Edmonds, 29.
Police say the car that was hit was a ride-share service car with a paying passenger inside. It is unclear which car each victim was driving.
Investigators believe speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
