Homecoming game asks for relief donations for Houston

The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township is inviting community members to donate relief supplies Friday from 7:30 a.m. until the start of the homecoming game at 7:00 p.m. Donations can be dropped off in the back parking lot, north of the football stadium entrance at North Central High School on E 86th Street.

 

The school district has teamed up with Direct Connect Logistix of Indianapolis to send much needed relief supplies to the International Baccalaureate Schools in the Houston area.  Items needed:

 

  • School Supplies 
  • Cases of Bottled Water 
  • Hygeine Items: Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes, Soap, Deodorant, Feminine Products, etc. 
  • Bedding: Blankets, Comforters, Pillows 
  • Infant Items: Case of Diapers, Baby Wipes, Baby Formula 
  • New Clothing: Shoes, Socks, Pants, Shirts (all sizes) 
  • Dog & Cat Food 
  • Phone Chargers & Packages of Batteries 
  • Canned & Non-Perishable Food 
  • Large Items (Please contact Mr. Cronk at 317-819-1572 to arrange
  • Generators 
  • New Appliances
  • New A/C Units
  • New Beds/Mattresses

 

Additionally, Direct Connect Logistix is accepting donations at it’s downtown headquarters from September 11th through September 13th. Donations can be dropped off at the south facing loading dock of the Stutz Building at 1060 N Capitol Ave.
