SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- Allison Transmission employees are building a house for a family in need.
The manufacturer is partnering with the Fuller Center for Housing to coordinate construction of a home at 5144 W. 10th street in Speedway, just west of the global headquarters.
This is the fourth time overall that Allison Transmission has joined with the Fuller Center for Housing to build a home.
Workers are building this year’s house next to the one built in 2015.
The build launched on September 11 and a dedication ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 22 at 1 pm.
Allison Transmission is the world’s largest manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
