GREENWOOD, Ind. – A woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover detective while her child was with her.
The suspect, identified as Breanna Moore, 23, was arrested after allegedly exchanging meth at the Walmart located at 1133 N. Emerson Ave. with a 3-year-old inside the vehicle.
The investigation began July 7 when an undercover detective with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office exchanged a series of text messages with the suspect about prescription medication.
On July 21, Moore notified the detective she had meth and heroin for sale via text message, police say.
Moore and the detective met alone at a predetermined location to exchange .9 grams of meth and heroin.
The detective was given an audio recording device along with $100 to negotiate the narcotics transaction. The events were videotaped by police from afar.
Then on July 25, another string of text messages and telephone calls led to the exchange of meth for $200.
Concluding the transaction, police weighed the drugs and placed all photographs and further evidence away for further analysis.
Two more transactions between Moore and the undercover detective took place July 28 and Aug 3, totaling more than $785 and 18 grams of narcotics.
After Moore was placed in custody, police found a handgun in the glove compartment of her blue Saturn, in addition to two digital scales and another bag of meth.
The Department of Child Services was called and notified of the incident and Moore was transported to the Johnson County Jail.
