PERU, Ind. -- An Indiana mom is in jail because her daughter missed 44 days of school last semester.
Jennifer Rowe was arrested Monday on a felony charge of neglect.
Police say her 15-year-old daughter missed about four dozen days of classes from last August to November with no excuse or doctor's note.

Detectives say Rowe was arrested because she didn't do anything to make sure the teen went to school, even after the district set up a plan for the girl to make up classes.
