INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis girl was left out in the cold this week after being put on the wrong school bus, and her mom wants answers as to how it happened.
India Collins says she wants to see changes at Pike Township Schools in how kids are placed on buses.
Collins says her 5-year-old daughter Kennedy, a kindergartner, was put on the wrong bus at Central Elementary.
Kennedy was lost for two hours as Collins called the school, desperately searching for her daughter.
She says the school initially wasn't helpful, and even hung up on her several times. Collins said it was only when a neighbor found Kennedy outside in the cold that they were finally reunited.
"She was cold and she told the male neighbor she was cold and she was looking for her mommy," Collins said.
Pike Township School officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
