CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Police body cam video shows just how close an actor came to being hit by an Crawfordsville officer's bullet when he was mistaken for a real robbery suspect.
Officers were called to the Back Step Brewing Company last Tuesday for a possible robbery in progress.
According to Indiana State Police, the officers ordered a masked man to drop his gun. He turned toward them, the officer fired and the bullet hit a nearby building.
The man dropped the gun, took off his mask and told officers he was filming a movie.
Indiana State Police determined the gun was a prop and neither the film production company nor the bar notified police or nearby businesses that the filming would be taking place.
