MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman is accused of shooting and killing her husband and then waiting the weekend before calling the police to report it.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received a phone call around 3:30 a.m. Monday for a deceased man inside a home in the 5700 block of West 700 South in Crawfordsville. The woman told dispatchers that she had shot her husband on Friday.
When deputies arrived they found Billy Ridenour, 62, dead inside the home.
The 55-year-old woman was taken into custody without incident. She's facing charges of murder and failure to report a dead body.
The case remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
