INDIANAPOLIS – The woman fired from her job after she informed her boss she needed time off to have brain surgery, was diagnosed with cancer Thursday.
Doctors at Franciscan Health diagnosed former preschool teacher Amanda Anderson with Stage 4 brain cancer.
“Whatever God is going to let me have, I'm fighting for it,” said the 32-year-old mother of two. “I want to see them graduate. I want to see them walk down the aisle. I want to see her do that. I want see their babies."
Anderson said she wants to remain positive for her daughter Kodi, who was just enrolled into Kindergarten, and her 13-year-old son Landon.

"I'm going to keep the faith. I'm not going to lose hope… I'm not going to lose hope,” said Anderson.
The Equal Employment Opportunities Commission continues to investigate Anderson’s job dismissal.
Anderson’s mother, Jamie Puckett, said she is still upset with the way the situation was handled.
"Just cold. Just saying next. We can do without you. You mean nothing,” said Puckett.
Anderson will begin radiation treatment in two weeks.
