FISHERS, Ind. -- Fishers police say more residents are signing up for "vacation watch" out of concern for holiday home break-ins.
Police say there have been 11 break-ins in Fishers in the past 30 days. While that number is about on par with last year, what has changed is the number of homeowners looking to do something about it.
Police offer a vacation watch service that will send extra patrols around homes during the holiday season.
"They're looking for anything out of the ordinary," said Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger.
The vacation watch program is free. Fishers residents can sign up for it here.
