INDIANAPOLIS -- About 50 vehicles got flat tires after scrap metal was spilled on I-70 Tuesday morning.
Troopers say the metal fell out of the back of a semi near the ramp from I-70 westbound to I-465 northbound on the west side.

Authorities say the rear tailgate of the semi wasn't secured properly and opened while the semi was moving.
Troopers cited the driver, 54-year-old Jeffrey Patterson of Greencastle, for insecure/leaky load.
They say Patterson Trucking, the owner of the semi, is cooperating with the investigation.
