MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- When it comes to school vacation time, Martinsville families appear to like things just as they are.
The school system has received about 700 responses so far to its calendar survey.
A majority of families favored a one-week October break, which is the same number of days currently on the calendar.
At Thanksgiving, students enjoy three days off, starting on Wednesday. Survey respondents urged the school system to keep it that way.
And the same goes for Christmas vacation. It’s currently two-weeks and families who took the survey want it to stay as is.
The Martinsville School Board hopes to finalize a future calendar in late September.
Parents who want to look at the survey can log on to Skyward.
