MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- The Martinsville School Board is showing its support for Superintendent Doctor Michele Moore.
The board has approved a three-year contract extension for Moore, who has been on the job in the 5,000 student district since 2014.
The superintendent’s total yearly compensation comes to $133, 100.
In a statement, Dr. Moore said “I am grateful for the board’s trust in me and will continue to enthusiastically serve out students and work alongside our principals, teacher, staff and parents who are so dedicated and focused on the education of our students.”
Among her accomplishments, the school system lists Dr. Moore’s effective handling of tight budgets during a period of falling enrollment.
