MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. -- New improvements to a Morgan County park were made possible by a group of elementary students.
Brooklyn Kid’s Park, which is near the Brooklyn Elementary STEM Academy, will be updated with a new water fountain, and water spout for adults and kids.
Fourth-graders at the school came up with the idea for a water fountain when Principal Jennifer Teare asked them to think of a way to improve their community.
The children raised $2,500 and convinced the Brooklyn Town Council to chip in an equal amount.
A ribbon cutting for the fountain will take place on Thursday at 6 p.m.
