GREENTOWN — A 39-year-old motorcyclist from Grant County died in a three vehicle accident near Greentown, east of Kokomo, early-Friday.

Investigators say the driver allegedly responsible for the accident faces an Operating While Intoxicated charge.

Patrol Commander Jordan Buckley of the Howard County Sheriff's Office says the wreck happened on State Road 22 just after 6 a.m.

A van driven by a Kokomo man crossed the center line striking a Dodge Dart coming in the opposite direction. Right behind the Dodge on his motorcycle was Thomas Davis of Fairmount. Davis was killed when his motorcycle struck the Dodge.

The drivers of the van and Dodge were injured, but are expected to recover, according to the sheriff's office.

Buckley says the man at the wheel of the van is suspected of Operating While Intoxicated. The Howard County Prosecutor will determine what charges will be filed.
