INDIANAPOLIS -- One person is dead after an accident involving a motorcycle and a semi on Indianapolis' southwest side.
Police were called to the intersection of Harding Street and I-465 around 6:30 p.m. after a report of a accident involving a motorcycle and a semi.
According to police the semi was turning right at the truck stop intersection when the motorcyclist attempted to pass him on the right and struck the trailer of the semi. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and the bike was dragged under the trailer into the truck stop parking lot.
The motorcyclist, who has been identified as a 22-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
