AVON — Smoke can be seen from miles away as multiple fire departments have responded to a train fire in Avon on Wednesday evening.
Avon Fire Department, Plainfield Fire Department, Wayne Township Fire Department, and the Indianapolis Airport Authority worked to subdue a working train fire at 491 South 800 East, the location of CSX Avon Railyard.
