One home destroyed, two damaged by fire on Indianapolis' northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS -- Multiple homes were damaged by a fire on Indianapolis' northwest side Friday evening.

The fire started at a vacant home near the intersection of Nuthatcher Drive and Morning Dove Drive around 9 p.m.

Firefighters from Pike Township and Indianapolis worked together to battle the flames and were able to get the fire under control in a short amount of time. 

One home was destroyed and the homes on either side of it were severely damaged. No one was injured. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
