Muncie PD: Man bites, swallows ear during fight

Posted

MUNCIE, Ind. -- A man was arrested after he was involved in a fight and bit someone's ear off Wednesday.

Muncie police say the fight broke out in the front yard of a home in the 600 block of West Adams Street Wednesday afternoon.

When officers arrived, they saw Donald Wilson, 52, of Muncie, holding a baseball bat and standing over another man. Another suspect in the fight, Kyndra Swift, was nearby holding a knife, which she handed to an officer claiming that the victim attacked her. Police never validated that claim.

Witnesses told police that Wilson started the fight by throwing a can of food at the victim, and Kyndra attacked him with a set of "bolt cutters."

Muncie police said once they got Wilson to a hospital, he told them that the victim kicked him in the face, so he "got on top of him and bit him." He went on to say "I bit his ear off and ate it!"

Police arrested Wilson and Swift. Wilson was charged with battery with serious permanent disfigurement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Swift was charged with battery with serious permanent disfigurement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
