MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie man is facing charges after his pit bull allegedly attacked a police officer.
Police were at the home of Donald Combs Wednesday night, trying to talk to him about a hit-and-run investigation.
When the officer opened the gate, the dog charged at him, biting him on the arm, calf, ankle and thigh of both legs.

Another officer was charged by the pit bull last year when responding to a domestic dispute call.
The dog is being held at an animal shelter as officials watch for signs of rabies.
