INDIANAPOLIS—A fight erupted outside an Indianapolis courtroom Friday after a murder suspect was found not guilty.

20-year-old Christopher Reed was on trial for the 2017 murder of 40-year-old Keith Williams, near East 10th Street and North Grant Avenue on the city's East Side.

The trial was a bench trial, meaning there was no jury.

Criminal Court Judge Mark Stoner found Reed not guilty, according to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

It was then that emotions apparently caught up with some of the people attending the trial.

A fight broke out in the hallway outside Criminal Court Six on the third floor of the City County Building.

Sheriff's deputies were called on to get things under control.

Four people were arrested, according to a spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff.
