INDIANAPOLIS — Mystery solved.

IndyGo has determined the reason for a smell on one of its buses that was causing problems for some riders last week.

It's a story RTV6 first reported on last Thursday.

Passengers said they were coughing the entire time they were on the bus. One rider said his eyes and nose were running and he couldn't breath.

IndyGo spokesman Bryan Luellen says the cause was oil leaking onto the engine of the bus. Mechanics have fixed the problem.

After the smell developed and riders began complaining, the bus was taken out of service.
