INDIANAPOLIS -- Over 150 businesses across Indiana agree legal equality is crucial to the state's economic success.
A business coalition called Indiana Competes launched Wednesday aims to improve LGBT Civil Rights in the heartland.
The coalition is in support of Indiana lawmakers amending Indiana's civil rights code during the next session to prohibit discrimination of any kind.
The coalition boasts big businesses like Anthem, Eli Lilly and Cummins are all in support of the idea of diversity and inclusion.
Indiana Competes hopes more businesses around the state will join their movement and will sign the pledge of support for comprehensive, non discrimination protections in employment, housing and public accommodation.
