INDIANAPOLIS—Indianapolis police have released new information from their investigation into the death of 8-year-old Kendrielle Brye.

She's the little girl who was shot and killed in Indianapolis last month.

Thursday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said evidence from the scene shows Kendrielle did not shoot herself.

Her father, 40-year-old Kendall Brye, is still wanted for questioning.

Police say he was inside the home when his daughter was shot and has been on the run since the day of the shooting.

In addition, police say Brye is wanted on a Community Correction violation warrant.

This story continues to develop, and RTV 6 will have additional information as it becomes available.
