INDIANAPOLIS—Police and firefighters responded to a building collapse on the Indianapolis north side, Wednesday afternoon.

A vacant building at 351 West 30th Street gave way just after 3:30 p.m.

The location is between Boulevard and the I 65 entrance on West 30th. The busy one-way street is expected to be closed into the early-evening.

The building is next door to the Faith Church of God in Christ, but the church was not damaged and there were no injuries.

Debris from the collapse spilled into the street.

What caused the collapse isn't clear, but people in the area said the building was in poor condition.
