A long-term construction project will finally open Monday, connecting Indiana and Kentucky on I-65.
Northbound lanes on the Abraham Lincoln Bridge are scheduled to open Monday, with the first drivers to make their way across the bridge around 5 a.m.
The new bridge will carry three northbound lanes of traffic, with the right lane functioning as a mandatory turn lane onto Court Avenue in Louisville.
Also Monday, the ramp from eastbound I-64 to southbound I-65 is scheduled to reopen to traffic.
Looking ahead, southbound lanes traveling from Indianapolis to Kentucky will be opening later this month.
