LAWRENCE, Ind. -- The state fire marshal found another vehicle atop his own following a crash on Pendleton Pike in Lawrence on Tuesday.
Indianapolis dispatchers said the crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on the 9600 block of Pendleton Pike.
The crash involved Indiana State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson, 67, of Indianapolis, along with two other drivers: Nicholas Cannon, 34, of Indianapolis; and Joseph High, 34, of Indianapolis.
Police said Greeson was driving eastbound on Pendleton Pike when a Nissan driver by High pulled in front of his Crown Victoria. The force of the impact ejected High from his vehicle.
A third vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Cannon, also struck Greeson's vehicle.
The Nissan came to rest on top of the Crown Victoria, and Greeson had to exit via the rear driver's side door.
Greeson was transported to Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. High and Cannon were transported to Methodist and Eskenazi hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
No citations had been issued as of Tuesday night.
