INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead following a Thursday night crash on the Indianapolis south side.
Based on evidence at the scene and witness statements, police believe a man was a hit-and-run victim.
It happened at about 7:15 p.m. at State Road 135 and Thompson Road, just south of I-465.
An adult male's body was found along the side of the busy road, according to a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police are not sure what sort of vehicle hit the man. There have been no arrests and the investigation is just getting started.
