INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Indianapolis' northwest side Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. near the intersection of 56th Street at Reed Road near the Eagle Creek Reservoir and the Colts complex.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene say three vehicles were involved in the crash and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released at this time.
Five people were taken to the hospital, their conditions are not known at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
