INDIANAPOLIS — A multi-car crash left one person dead and five injured on the northeast side Wednesday night.
Police were called to E. 34th Street and Sutherland Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on a report of a crash that involved an SUV carrying four people and a van with two.
According to IMPD, the SUV flipped and ejected two people from the vehicle, killing one and injuring another who is in critical condition. The other two passengers in the SUV and both people in the van are in stable condition.
Police have shut down the area around 34th and Sutherland while the investigation continues.
