INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead and another person is seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a fence and a tree at an Indianapolis park early Tuesday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to Riverside Park around 6:30 a.m. for a report of a crash.
Arriving officers found one person dead inside the vehicle and a second person suffering from serious injuries. It is unclear when the crash happened, but police say the driver ran into what appears to be a construction area at the park.
The names of the people involved have not been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
