INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police were investigating a fatal shooting Monday night on the city's east side.
The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Bankers Lane and Washington Street, just a few blocks west of Emerson Avenue.
Police said they found one person at the scene, Carl Rice Jr., 31. Rice was declared dead at the scene.
