INDIANAPOLIS — An early-afternoon shooting on the Indianapolis southwest side has left one person dead, and another wounded, according to police.
The shooting happened in the 700 block of South Whitcomb Avenue, near West Washington Street and South Lynhurst Drive.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says one shooting victim was dead at the scene, while another was rushed to a local hospital with wounds that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police were searching for at least one suspect.
What led up to the shooting isn't clear.
