INDIANAPOLIS — A male is in critical condition after a shooting on New Year's Day on the city’s near east side.
IMPD East District officers responded around 7:30 a.m. to a report of a person shot in the 1900 block of North Rural Street.
Officers found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived.
The victim was reported to be in critical condition.
Police did not provide any additional details amid the ongoing investigation.
