INDIANAPOLIS -- A person was killed Thursday night on the east side near Lawrence.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of Cass Court.
Indianapolis police said they arrived to find Keith Freeman Jr., 38, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say the incident began when Freeman and his father, Keith Freeman Sr., 63, were arguing when the father pulled a gun. The father and son began to fight over the gun when it went off, killing the son.
The senior Freeman was arrested and preliminarily charged with reckless homicide.
