INDIANAPOLIS -- Students and staff returned to Amy Beverland Elementary School Monday for the first time since the bus crash that killed Principal Susan Jordan.

Students returned to a new principal, new safety procedures and a new support system on hand to help them cope with Jordan's loss.

More than a dozen therapy dog teams were at the school to comfort the kids. There were also counselors on hand, and more adults watching over kid as they arrived and left school.

"It was quite an experience, there was a lot going on. There were lots of grief counselors there so the hallways were full of adults and children, there were some that were individually with counselors crying and others that were in groups. We felt like we did a good deed," Marilyn Baumgardt said.
