INDIANAPOLIS – A young basketball star in the making got a chance to sign autographs with the Indiana Pacers Glenn Robinson III the J&J Allstar Sportscards show Saturday.
Brody Stephens is battling cancer for the second time and was able to team up with Robinson to raise awareness about becoming a bone marrow donor.
All proceeds collected during the event went toward Brody's medical bill expenses.
He will go in for treatment and a stem cell transplant next week.
“He will be in isolation and visitors will be restricted but we feel like were ready to gear up and get through this next step,” said Celia Stephens, Brody’s mother.
Celia said she is very thankful to the community for the support their family has received.
