INDIANAPOLIS — On its fifth anniversary Tuesday, Pacers Bikeshare announced an expansion that will take the service beyond downtown.
In a release, it was announced Pacers Bikeshare will add approximately 275 more bikes and 23 additional bike share stations. The service will expand to near-downtown neighborhoods, and stations will be added along the Monon Trail, White River Trail, Central Canal Towpath and Garfield Park.

Indianapolis received a $1 million federal grant for the Pacers Bikeshare expansion.
People have taken more than 500,000 trips on Pacers Bikeshare since the program began.
