INDIANAPOLIS -- Three children and two adults were hospitalized after crashing their SUV flipped on I-465 on Indianapolis' east side.
The crash happened around 11 a.m., in the southbound lanes of 465, near I-70. Their SUV hit another car, flipped end-over-end and ended up in an embankment.
The parents were taken to Methodist Hospital to be checked out, and the kids were taken to Riley.
A State Police official said everybody in the SUV was wearing seatbelts or carseats. That saved them from more serious injuries.
The family is from New Jersey and was visiting relatives.
