MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Ball State University student was arrested after he delivered a suspicious box to the student center.

Police say 21-year-old Jackson Reid "Jack" Hiatt of Westfield was protesting a parking ticket he got on campus.

Hiatt delivered a pizza box sealed with aluminum foil to the Ball State Parking Services office on Wednesday.

The box contained his parking ticket, a note to parking services, and a bag full of dimes and nickels to pay his fine.

Campus police were called after Hiatt made his 'delivery' and the building was evacuated.

Hiatt later contacted BSU Police. He said he meant to annoy parking services and not trigger a bomb scare.

He was arrested and preliminarily charged with intimidation.

Hiatt was released from the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 bond.
